Basic ways of distilling bird's nests

You can watch the simple way of nesting with Slow Cooker on our PhuocTinNest YouTube channel:

Quantity and the basic cooking can be summarized as follows:

Quantity: Weight of 1 piece of bird’s nest dried about 8g-12g depending on type. Each time use 1 dried bird's nest for 1 pot (if using a special small electric porcelain distiller 0.7 liters).

How to cook: Wash the bird's nest with clean water. Put into an electric ceramic slow cooker (0.7 liter type) with the prescribed amount of clean water (1g of dried bird's nest equivalent to 35-40ml of water). Warm water should be used around 60-70° C, the purpose is to reduce the time of cooking because temperature of the cooker increase very slowly.

Plug in the pot, cook for 40 '- 60' or longer until you see the bird’s nest open to the softness as you like (the time it takes to cook will depend on the type of bird's nest. For any type of bird’s nest should watch the appropriate time to cook for later times of that kind of bird’s nest. Any time using new types of bird’s nest should watch time from the beginning).

A person eats 3 - 4g dried bird's nest a day. The best time to eat oats is on an empty stomach so that the body can absorb the food most effectively: in the morning before breakfast, or in the evening before sleeping 60 minutes.

Preservation: if the bird's nest is not used after cooking, it should be put into a jar, covered carefully, to avoid contact with the air, which can accelerate the fermentation of the bird's nest, which should be kept in the refrigerator cooler. This way we can preserve the preserved cooking food for up to 2 weeks.

* Important note: bird's nest should not be soaked in water before cooking. The reason is that the precious proteins in the bird’s nest are very easy to dissolve in water, and so we accidentally lost the nutrients of the bird's nest.
